DESCRIPTION:<p>Canada’s North is experiencing unprecedented change in its sea and terre
 strial ice, permafrost and ecosystems under the triple pressures of climate
  change, industrialization and modernization. The impacts of these pressure
 s can be seen on food and energy security, shipping, sovereignty, northern 
 community health and well-being, and sustainable development and resource e
 xploitation. All these issues have brought the North to the forefront of na
 tional and international agendas.</p><p>Building on the success of its prev
 ious Annual Scientific Meetings and International Arctic Change Conferences
 , the ArcticNet Network of Centres of Excellence announces the 14th ArcticN
 et Annual Scientific Meeting, which will be held at the Shaw Centre in <str
 ong>Ottawa, Canada from December 10 -14, 2018</strong>.</p><p>Arctic resear
 chers, Inuit, First Nations, Métis and Northern Community representatives, 
 government and non-government organizations, students, and industry stakeho
