Organizers invite registration and applications for stipends for the 13th Workshop on Antarctic Meteorology and Climate. This w orkshop will convene 16-19 July 2018 in Madison, Wisconsin.
This workshop will bring together thos e with research and operational/logistical interests in Antarctic meteorolo gy, forecasting, and related disciplines. The annual activities and status of the Antarctic Meteorological Research Center, Automatic Weather Station, and Antarctic Mesoscale Prediction System efforts will be addressed, and f eedback and results from the user communities will be solicited. This works hop will also be a forum for current results and ideas in Antarctic meteoro logy, numerical weather prediction, and weather forecasting. There will be discussions on the relationships among international efforts and Antarctic forecasting, logistical support, and science.
Papers and posters on these topics are welcome.

Stipend support for students and e arly career scientists are being provided by the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences via Madison College. Support will b e five stipend awards of approximately $300. Preference will be given to un der-represented groups and applicants from countries with developing Antarc tic programs.
To apply for a stipend, ap plicants must submit a one-page curriculum vitae, a brief (one page) statem ent of the benefit of attendance and how the applicant will contribute to t he workshop, and the applicant's budget.
