SUMMARY:Workshop on glaciers, moraines and climate - interdisciplinary approaches
LOCATION:Scotland\, UK
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our EGU co-sponsored training school on “Glacier
s, moraines and climate: identifying, dating and extracting paleoclimate da
ta from evidence of past glacier change”, which will take place in Inchnada
mph in the Scottish Highlands from 13 to 16 August 2018.\nOur main aim is t
o encourage early career (PhD or Postdoc) researchers to integrate differen
t (e.g. geomorphological, sedimentological, chronological, limnological) li
nes of paleoglaciological evidence. Often, the impact of such inter-discipl
inary approaches is greater than the sum of its parts, advancing the potent
ial of paleoglaciological evidence to understand climate change.\nAre you i
nterested? Then more information is available at http://eguecrmoraineworksh
op.strikingly.com/ including how to register. The registration deadline is
13 May 2018.\nYour organizing committee:\nSven Lukas, Jostein Bakke, Clare
