 5 - 18 May 2018, Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil</em></p><p>The 
 event celebrates the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Brazilian APEC
 S committee and from the last International Polar Year. In addition to cele
 brating our first decade of existence, we want to offer the opportunity for
  an open dialogue not only about polar science, but also on the role of APE
 CS-Brazil in spreading science to society and the strategies to insert pola
 r topics into the classroom. The symposium is an event with a scientific fo
 cus, where the scientific community can discuss the advances and new discov
 eries of any area related to polar science. It's a great opportunity to get
  acquainted with polar science, build partnerships and bring new ideas to a
 ddress pole-related issues in the classroom. We are preparing a high-level 
 scientific event, which will include the participation of senior and early 
 career researchers from Brazil and abroad!</p><p>Abstract submission has be
 en extended to <strong>30th March, 2018</strong>.</p><p>Registration is ope
