DESCRIPTION:<p>The workshop will address the natural and anthropogenic drivers of Arcti
 c environmental change. This will include a system-wide perspective on the 
 changing Arctic environment, the influence of local and remote controls, an
 d the importance of coupled interactions. A primary goal of the workshop is
  to provide new insights on how to better integrate observing and modeling 
 approaches to enhance understanding of Arctic system change. The meeting wi
 ll include participants from the atmospheric, terrestrial, land ice, sea ic
 e, and oceanographic communities.</p><p>We invite early career scientists (
 graduate students and individuals within 4 years of their PhD) to apply for
  funding to attend an <strong>Arctic system change workshop at the NCAR Mes
 a Lab</strong> in <strong>Boulder, Colorado from April 9-12, 2018</strong>.
  The <strong>application deadline is January 14, 2018</strong>.</p><p>To ap
