A two-day workshop for young researchers organised by the PYRN (Permafrost Young Researchers Network) will take place in C hamonix June 23-24, 2018. The workshop will include 1 day of local excursion.
All participants to the workshop will be invited to join us as early as June 22nd for a welcoming BBQ hosted at the Chamonix Youth H ostel. Solutions for cheap accommodations will be offered by the Chamonix Y outh Hostel.
The workshop program is as follows:
Friday, June 22nd 2018: Welcoming ice-breaker for PYRN particip ants
Saturday June, 23rd 2018: Introduction to PYRN activiti es by the PYRN ExCom, plenary lectures and breakout sessions lead by outsta nding senior and junior scientists covering major permafrost topics, career planning, research perspectives, and soft-skills development.
Su nday June, 24th 2018: Local excursion lead by outstanding local resear chers and land-planners to learn about environmental settings and land-plan ning issues in the Mont Blanc massif.
