DESCRIPTION:The Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) project of the World Climate Research Pro
 gram (WCRP) has initiated a Targeted Activity named the Marine Ice Sheet - 
 Ocean Modeling Intercomparison Project (MISOMIP (http://www.climate-cryosph
 ere.org/activities/targeted/misomip)) to advance coupled glacier-ocean mode
 ling for West Antarctica. The MISOMIP effort is also an activity of the Sci
 entific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR). To date, first and second w
 orkshops were held in 2014 and 2016.\nDuring May 7-9, 2018, a third worksho
 p is being organized, hosted by the NYU Abu Dhabi Research Institute (RI) a
 nd the Center for global Sea-Level Change (CSLC). The workshop will be held
  at the campus of NYUAD on Saadiyat Island, UAE.\nLimited support is availa
 ble for several graduate students involved in MISOMIP/MISMIP/ISOMIP related
  research as part of their thesis work. Suitable graduate students interest
