DESCRIPTION:<p>The Climate and Cryosphere (CliC) project of the World Climate Research 
 Program (WCRP) has initiated a Targeted Activity named the <strong>Marine I
 ce Sheet - Ocean Modeling Intercomparison Project (<a href="http://www.clim
 ate-cryosphere.org/activities/targeted/misomip" target="_blank" rel="noopen
 er noreferrer">MISOMIP</a>)</strong> to advance coupled glacier-ocean model
 ing for West Antarctica. The MISOMIP effort is also an activity of the Scie
 ntific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR). To date, first and second wo
 rkshops were held in 2014 and 2016.</p><p><strong>During May 7-9, 2018</str
 ong>, a third workshop is being organized, hosted by the NYU Abu Dhabi Rese
 arch Institute (RI) and the Center for global Sea-Level Change (CSLC). The 
 workshop will be held at the campus of NYUAD on Saadiyat Island, UAE.</p><p
 >Limited support is available for several graduate students involved in MIS
 OMIP/MISMIP/ISOMIP related research as part of their thesis work. Suitable
