DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to announce that the University of Exeter will be hosting
  the <strong>2018 British Branch meeting of the International Glaciological
  Society</strong> on <strong>Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th September 2018</
 strong>. The conference will include oral and poster presentations, spread 
 over two days, and abstracts are invited on any aspect of snow and ice rese
 arch.<br /> <br />Registration and abstract submission is now open, informa
 tion can be found on the conference webpage:<br /><a href="http://blogs.exe

 /><strong>Registration will close at 4pm on the 29th June 2018.</strong><br
  />The main Streatham campus is set within a country estate overlooking the
  city of Exeter, with the grounds registered as a botanic garden and arbore
 tum, complete with a sculpture trail for the artistically minded. Set in th
 e county of Devon, which is a “stunning county of great contrasts, with two
  beautiful coastlines, two National Parks and five official Areas of Outsta
 nding Natural Beauty” (Visit Devon website), there is plenty for the outdoo
 r enthusiast.</p><p>The conference dinner will take place on campus at Reed
  Hall: “A stunning grade II listed building, a hidden treasure nestled in 3
 00 acres of enchanting landscaped gardens” (Reed Hall website). The dinner 
 can be booked at the same time as registration on the online store.</p><p>W
