DESCRIPTION:<p>The first Swiss Polar Day event will take place on <strong>7th of Septem
 ber at WSL in Birmensdorf, Zurich</strong>. Every polar scientist or polar-
 interested person can participate and early careers are very much welcome! 
 Especially because it's an APECS Switzerland event. The program and registr

 event is to gather all polar scientists working in Switzerland at one place
 , and show what is currently done/studied in the high latitudes areas. The 
 first half of the event will be presentation held from one spokesperson per
  university/institution. The speakers will present ongoing work of their re
 spective institution as well as future plans, research direction and/or exp
 editions. The second half will be a round table/discussion on the future of
  polar research in Switzerland, as well a networking apéro.</p>
