DESCRIPTION:<p>The Arctic Data Center is pleased to announce that we have opened a call
  for applications to the summer <strong>Data Science Training for Arctic Re
 searchers</strong>. We would be grateful if you could circulate this opport
 unity within your Arctic research networks.</p><p>In addition to data prese
 rvation and discovery service and tools, the Arctic Data Center provides tr
 aining in data science and data management. These are critical skills for t
 he stewardship of data, software, and many other research products that are
  preserved at the Arctic Data Center. A goal of the center is to advance da
 ta archiving and promote reproducible science and data reuse.</p><p>The Arc
 tic Data Center has opened a call for applications to the summer Data Scien
 ce Training for Arctic Researchers. This 2-day workshop, to be held in <str
 ong>Santa Barbara, CA July 31st – August 1st</strong>, will provide researc
 hers with an overview of best data management practices, data science tools
  and concrete steps and methods for more easily documenting and uploading t
 heir data to the Arctic Data Center. Participants will receive support to a
 ttend the meeting and early- and established-career researchers from the Ar
 ctic community are encouraged to apply; there is no research domain specifi
 city.</p><p>The deadline for applications is Monday June 19th and full deta
