this is to announce that registration has now opened for the 30th FRISP
meeting which will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Oct 3rd - Oct 6th.
The FRISP meeting is for scientists working with various aspects of ice
shelf processes meeting in an informal setting and exchanging ideas, result
s and field plans. This year there will be a special focus on under ice obs
ervations, including information and feedback with the SOOS under ice worki
ng group presently being formed. The meeting includes an APECS mentor panel
discussion, prizes for best student presentations, and a guided excursion
to the historical station Bornö situated in the Gullmar fjord, famous for i
ts geology and marine life.
Travel support for students is provided.
The meeting will take place in one of the University of Gothenburg m
arine field stations, Kristineberg. More information about Kristineberg can

Abstract and conference fee will be required after the su
mmer. The estimated total conference fee (including meals and accommodation

- for staying three nights at the Kristineberg research station
(single / double): 3000 / 2500 SEK
- for staying three nights at the
nearby Gullmarsstrand Hotel: 5500 SEK

ully going to be lower due to financial support that has been applied for.
