The Potsdam Summer School 2017 is calling for applications!
This year’s Summer School will take place from Sep
tember 04 through September 13 2017 in Potsdam, Germany. It will a
ddress the central question: How can transdisciplinary knowledge production
be integrated in inclusive governance processes towards the achievement of
sustainable development as in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
With its overarching theme - “Human Environments in a Changing World ” - this year’s Potsdam Summer School will continue the transdisciplinary a nd interactive event series that has been held annually in Potsdam, Germany since 2014. The summer school will provide its participants with a compreh ensive look into theories and methods of inclusive governance. They will be engaged in discussions and group work on the key issues. The aim is to bri ng together talented early-career scientists and young professionals operat ing in the private sector, governmental agencies and non-governmental organ isations from many different parts of the world to discuss frontier (resear ch) questions on future sustainable development. In this context, the Potsd am Summer School provides a unique opportunity for all participants to fost er international cooperation and an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas. Th ese issues span a multitude of natural and social science disciplines and i nvite stakeholders from the public and private sector to get involved.
