In this PhD course we would like to present, discuss and practice research methodologies, which are being used around the arctic and to co construct in a participatory approach the future scenarios of tomorr ow research.
GOAL: After the course participants sha
ll be able to:
1. Describe and discuss IASSA guidelines for all resear
chers working in the North from an indigenous research methodology and rese
arch ethics perspective.
2. Discuss how to address community concerns
and gather data that will inform decision making and help better prepare th
eir future.
3. Discuss how to engage indigenous people in the research
processes much further.
4. Use the CBPR tool kit to build up and stre
ngthen a research capacity among the arctic communities in collaboration wi
th the Regional Governments and the Research Centers.
