/strong>

The Scientific Committee on Antarctic
Research (SCAR)’s research programme Ant-ICON (Integrated Science to Infor
m Antarctic and Southern Ocean Conservation) is pleased to announce an inte
rdisciplinary workshop on The Future of Antarctic and Southern Ocean Co
nservation in a Changing Climate.

Date: 7-9 Jul

 arrondissement, Paris (in-person only)
Cost: Free

This workshop aims to develop a roadmap providing the science needed to
address Antarctic conservation priorities, focusing on those identified by
the Committee for Environmental Protection (CEP). It seeks to strengthen t
he science-policy interface and drive tangible conservation progress throug
h interdisciplinary collaboration between social and natural sciences.
<

ce interface

Human activities and their impacts in A
ntarctica, e.g., tourism, national operator activities
<li aria-level="

an opportunity to reflect on Ant-ICON's challenges and successes over the
past few years and explore its legacy, including in preparation for the upc
oming International Polar Year (IPY).

We invite researchers, poli
