DESCRIPTION:The European Commission in cooperation with the Municipality of Kittilä and
  the Regional Council of Lapland will organise the EU Arctic Forum and Indi
 genous Peoples’ Dialogue in Kittilä, Finland, on 26-27 June 2025. \n\nA bro
 ad range of Arctic stakeholders representing governments, international org
 anisations, civil society, industry, research, indigenous and local communi
 ties will feed into the discussions. Youth perspectives will feature promin
 ently throughout the event.\n\nThe EU Arctic Forum will provide an opportun
 ity to assess recent developments in the Arctic and to discuss challenges a
 head. It will look at some of the achievements of the EU Arctic policy in r
 ecent years and will continue to provide a strategic outlook for the years 
 to come. The Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue will offer a platform for discuss
 ion on Arctic matters affecting Indigenous Peoples.\nThe EU Arctic Forum an
 d Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue will include keynote addresses and panel ses
 sions focusing, among others, on international cooperation, sustainable and
  inclusive economic development in the Arctic, human and societal matters, 
 addressing the risks and challenges posed by climate change, Arctic partner
 ships, or research, innovation and Arctic knowledge.\nBuilding on the exper
 ience of past editions and the overall objectives of the EU Arctic policy, 
 the EU-Arctic Youth Dialogues have been envisioned and implemented with Arc
 tic and European youth as co-creators, with notable involvement of Arctic I
 ndigenous youth. The EU-Arctic Youth Dialogues will be an integral part of 
 this year’s programme. \nThe events will be held physically, and web stream
 ing will be available. Attendance to the events is free of charge but regis
 tration for in-person attendance and participation is mandatory.\n
