SUMMARY:Arctic PASSION Online Seminar & Dialogue “Artificial Intelligence meets an Accessible Arctic Air Quality Forecast”
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:
In this online seminar, Arctic PASSION is introducing its A
ir Quality Forecast for<
/strong> Arctic Communities (AURORAE
) Service: https://aurorae.azurewebsites.net/. The AURORAE service is a w
eb interface to monitor the air quality of the North European countries on
a daily basis. It is providing a two-day forecast of particulate matter con
centrations developed through an Artificial Intelligence (AI) model.

The website offers an interactive map showing air pollution concentra
tion and near-real-time forecast at hourly resolution for over 100 sites in
Northern Europe, highlighting projected air quality conditions at each sta
tion. A daily bulletin reporting the forecast for all stations will be also
released on a daily basis to provide a broad overview of air pollution sta
tus for Northern communities.

Accessible air quality forecasts
can help citizens and policy-makers with informed decision making about the
ir health, safety, and environmental protection. In this online seminar we
will present and demonstrate the new forecast service and discuss it with t
he audience. Feedback on AURORAE via this short user survey <a href="h
