SUMMARY:Online workshop: Fieldwork and Environmental Impact
DESCRIPTION:On 27 March 2023 at 16:00 CET, the Swiss Polar Institute will host an onlin
 e workshop (https://swisspolar.ch/event/fieldwork-and-environmental-impact/
) to address this pressing challenge most polar scientists face: the enviro
nmental impact of their research. Our international panel of speakers will
discuss the impact of fieldwork, the carbon and environmental footprint of
data acquisition, and will explore new ways to minimise its impact. The pre
sentations will be followed by an open discussion on practical approaches y
ou can use in your projects.\nOrganised with early-career researchers in mi
nd and aiming to support the development of professional skills, competence
 s and networks, this <a href="https://swisspolar.ch/event/fieldwork-and-env
