SUMMARY:Workshop on Machine Learning for polar regions
LOCATION:Palisades\, New York\, USA & online
DESCRIPTION:It is our pleasure to invite you to the “Machine Learning for Polar Regions
Workshop”, to be held on June 17th, 2022 at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Obser
vatory from 9:30am-5pm. The ultimate goal of the workshop is to educate pol
ar scientists and machine learning experts on each respective field and cre
ate a strategic roadmap to accelerate research through a coordinated, cross
-disciplinary effort. The final outcome will be a report containing a revie
w of cutting-edge applications, literature on machine learning and polar re
gions, current mechanisms that can support the success for cross-disciplina
ry collaboration, and funding opportunities for both the climate and machin
e learning realms. Event details: \n - Date: June 17th, 2022\n - Time: 9:30
