DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that the Korea Polar Research Institute will hol
 d the 27th International Symposium on Polar Sciences (ISPS2022) online from
  September 20 to 21, 2022.\nThe symposium aims to bring together polar scie
 ntists to share their research findings and explore further research opport
 unities at the international level. ISPS2022 invites researchers to look ba
 ck on the findings of Korean Arctic research over the past 20 years from a 
 global perspective and look forward to a promising future in polar research
 .\nWith "Two decades of Korean Arctic research: Looking back to look forwar
 d” as its overarching theme, the symposium invites papers that examine:\n- 
 Retrospect and prospect of atmospheric research in Ny-Ålesund;\n- Svalbard 
 as a barometer of climate change;\n- Climate change impacts on Arctic terre
 strial ecosystems;\n- Response of the Arctic marine system to ongoing envir
 onmental changes;\n- Remote Sensing in the Arctic; and\n- Past and future o
 f Greenland: a perspective on geology and environment\n \nAbstracts will be
  accepted for oral and poster presentations, and all submissions must be in
  English. Important dates are as follows:\n- Abstract Submission: June 7 - 
 July 31, 2022\n- Notification of Abstract Acceptance: August 2022\n- Regist
 ration: July 21 - August 31, 2022\n- ISPS 2022: September 20-21, 2022\n \nM
