We are pleased to announce that the Korea Polar Research Institute will hold the 27th International Symposium on Polar Scie nces (ISPS2022) online from September 20 to 21, 2022.< /p>
The symposium aims to bring together polar scientis ts to share their research findings and explore further research opportunit ies at the international level. ISPS2022 invites researchers to look back o n the findings of Korean Arctic research over the past 20 years from a glob al perspective and look forward to a promising future in polar research.
With "Two decades of Korean Arctic research: Looking back
to look forward” as its overarching theme, the symposium invites papers th
at examine:
- Retrospect and prospect of atmospheric research in Ny-Ål
esund;
- Svalbard as a barometer of climate change;
- Climate cha
nge impacts on Arctic terrestrial ecosystems;
- Response of the Arctic
marine system to ongoing environmental changes;
- Remote Sensing in t
he Arctic; and
- Past and future of Greenland: a perspective on geolog
y and environment
Abstracts will be accepted for oral and poste
r presentations, and all submissions must be in English. Important dates ar
