DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System</strong> (SIOS
 ) is organizing a week-long <strong>training course on AI applications in S
 valbard</strong> (AI4Svalbard) during <strong>5-9 Sept. 2022, in Longyearby
 en, Svalbard</strong>. You can find more information regarding this trainin

 l="noopener">here</a>. The application deadline is on <strong>15<sup>th</su
 p> May 2022</strong>.</p><p>The course is intended for scientists, master/P
 h.D. students, engineers and technicians with no or modest experience with 
 AI and machine learning in their research. Basic knowledge of programming l
 anguages (python) is preferable.</p><p>This training course will consist of
  four components (1) lightning talks by eminent speakers from the AI field 
 (2) lecture series and hands-on sessions by AI experts (3) field excursions
  and (4) mini-project development after the training course. There is no co
 st for registration but participants are expected to cover their own accomm
 odation, travel and associated costs.</p><p>Feel free to share this opportu
