SUMMARY:BEPSII Sea ice School 2022
LOCATION:Cambridge Bay\, Canada
DESCRIPTION:This is the first announcement of the BEPSII Sea ice School 2022 in Cambrid
ge Bay, Canada (14-23 May 2022 CHARS Station). The school targets Early Car
eer Scientists, preferably PhD students, but also Master students and early
Post-Doc. Lectures, field and lab work will address basic sea-ice and snow
physics, sea ice optics, primary production, carbon cycling, biogeochemist
ry together with, sea-ice biogeochemical modelling, gases fluxes at the int
erfaces and life in the North. Further information and applications at (ht

plication: 11 March 2022. BEPSII is a network of sea ice scientists explori
ng biogeochemical exchanges at sea ice interfaces. BEPSII gathers sea ice b
iogeochemists and biologists, either experimentalists or modellers. The sch
ool is supported by POLAR KNOWLEDGE CANADA, SCAR, CLIC, IASC and NSF in col
laboration with SOLAS and ECV-ice SCOR working group. Find further informat
