 in Arkhangelsk, 25-27 May 2022.\nThe Northern Arctic Federal University nam
 ed after M.V. Lomonosov is pleased to announce the International Forum of Y
 oung Scientists 2022.\n \n This year the Forum welcomes PhD, Master and Bac
 helor students and is held under the auspices of the Russia’s Chairmanship 
 at the Arctic Council 2021-2023 and aligns with its priority areas: Arctic 
 people, including indigenous peoples of the North; environmental protection
  and climate change issues; socio-economic development of the region and st
 rengthening the Arctic Council.\n \n The participants will have an opportun
 ity to broaden their knowledge about the Arctic Region in various scientifi
 c fields, learn about the large-scale industrial and environmental Arctic p
 rojects, participate in discussions addressing the following topics related
  to the key challenges of the Arctic Region development and exploration:\n\
 n - Russian Arctic agenda 2035;\n - Logistics and transport systems in the 
 Arctic;\n - Environmental challenges and risk management in the Arctic;\n -
  Local communities in the changing region environment;\n - Geopolitics and 
 international relations in the ArcticThe highlight of the Forum remains NAr
 FU annual International PhD School which serves a platform for young resear
 chers to share their knowledge with the leading Russian and foreign scienti
 sts, high-officials, project managers and practitioners about the current g
 lobal and local Arctic agenda. The PhD School will be held online (Zoom pla
 tform) and include lectures, discussion panels and students’ presentation s
 essions. The working language is English.\n \n Master and Bachelor students
  are invited for an off-line session in Arkhangelsk. The working language i
 s Russian.\n \n Application for PhD School: PhD students and early-career r
 esearchers from the HEIs of Arctic and non-Arctic countries are asked to fi
 ll in the application form (https://narfu.ru/en/studies/arcticschool/applic
 ation.php) indicating a topic of their research project and attaching its a
 bstract to the form.\n \n Workload: 3 ECTS (certificate of participation; t
 ranscript of records upon request).\n The deadline for application is 15th
