DESCRIPTION:After two pandemic-related cancelations, the Sixth International Summer Sch
 ool in Glaciology organized by the University of Alaska, Fairbanks (UAF)/Os
 lo University, will (hopefully) be held in McCarthy, central Alaska, from 7
  to 17 June 2022 (just before the IGS Symposium on Maritime Glaciers, to be
  held in Juneau, Alaska, 19 - 24 June; https://www.igsoc.org/symposia/2022/
 juneau2022/). The summer school will provide a comprehensive overview of th
 e physics of glaciers and current research frontiers in glaciology with foc
 us on quantitative glaciology and remote sensing. The course is open to 28 
 graduate students from around the world targeting primarily early stage PhD
  students who perform glacier-related research. It will be taught by facult
 y of UAF’s glaciology group and several invited guest instructors from outs
