 arch 2022)\nNorthern geographies: Arctic, high-latitude, and cold region re
 search and engagements\n\nThe Polar Geography Specialty Group seeks papers 
 from human and physical geographers examining Arctic, high-latitude, and co
 ld regions in order to reckon with the rapid and dramatic socioeconomic, ge
 ophysical, and environmental changes that the region is experiencing. We we
 lcome scholars employing qualitative and/or quantitative methods, such as e
 thnography, geovisualization, discourse analysis, and remote sensing. We al
 so seek papers across a range of scales, from specific case studies to more
  pan-regional approaches, and a range of temporalities, too. Sessions will 
 seek to synthesize research on historical processes in the Arctic and sub-A
 rctic to present dynamics in order to support efforts to project future cha
 nge. These sessions will speak to two of AAG 2022's themes, "The Changing N
 orth American Continent" and "Climate Justice."\nAcross these sessions, we 
 hope to encourage discussion and debate about how to work towards more just
  and sustainable northern communities from the local to international scale
 . We also aim to stimulate conversations about how to pursue more inclusive
  research designed and carried out in partnership with rightsholders and st
 akeholders in a manner that bridges Indigenous and Western ontologies and m
 ethodologies.\nWe welcome both in-person and virtual presentations. Please
