The 17th Conference on Polar Meteorology and Oceanography, s ponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Po lar Meteorology and Oceanography Committee, will be held at the Monona Terr ace in Madison, WI, August 8-12, 2022. The conference will be held jo intly with the AMS 25th Conference on Satellite Meteorology, and the AMS 16 the Conference on Cloud Physics/16th Conference on Atmospheric Radiation a s part of the Collective Madison Meeting.

Papers are solic ited for sessions that cover a wide range of topics on polar meteorology an d oceanography. Please submit your a bstract electronically via the AMS conference website by 14 April 2022 (see the website for instructions). The abstract submission fee of $95 USD is charged at the time of submission and refundable only if the abstra ct is not accepted. Authors of accepted presentations will be notified via email by mid-May 2022.

While we are aware there is continu ed uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, at this time we believe this conference will take place entirely in-person. Spe cific details regarding the conference program and format will be posted by AMS as soon as they are available. Submissions by students, early-career scientists, and un derrepresented groups will be prioritized, and limited funds in the form of registration fee waivers or travel grants are available to support partici pation and further details will be available when abstract acceptance notif ications are sent.
