Organizers of a workshop, entitled "The Fut ure Shape of a Greenland Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Observat ion Network" call for participant registration. The one- and one half-day w orkshop will convene 24-25 January 2017 at the National Aeronautics and Spa ce Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland .
The goal of the workshop is to define
a path forward for a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) observation
network in Greenland.
Such a network already exists in the form of the
Greenland network GNET, a joint U.S./Danish network of GPS receivers. Exis
ting funding for GNET is drawing to a close, and the future of the network
remains uncertain. This workshop aims to bring the various stakeholders and
potential users of these data together to define the system requirements a
nd the path forward.
There is no cost fo r attending this NSF-sponsored workshop, and a limited amount of travel fun ding is available for those in need.
