SUMMARY:The 10th Nordic Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry
LOCATION:Loen\, Norway
DESCRIPTION:
The Analytical Section of the Norwegian Che
mical Society invites scientists and users of science to this 10th Nordic Co
nference on Plasma Spectrochemistry. We sincerely hope that yo
u will respond positively to this invitation and call for papers. Please in
form your colleagues about this opportunity to share and discuss their rece
nt experiences and to be scientifically updated through a number of
short courses given by international leading specialists in typical Norwegi
an informal surroundings. We look forward to your attendance at and partici
pation in this scientific event.

Objectives and Main Topics

By
contrast to other plasma spectrochemistry meetings, the FREE short courses
(2 hours duration) will be offered to all participants during the four day
meeting which may be very attractive to participants to learn about and to
be updated on plasma spectrochemistry. We are planning to organise 16 short
courses, two or three in parallel each day , as part of the conference. Th
is concept is ment to stimulate Nordic users of plasma based techniques to
learn more about theoretical and practical issues as well as obtain special
ists recommendations for methods improvements. Thus these short courses are
also a unique opportunity for laboratory engineers to be updated.

The aim of the conference is to provide a forum
to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge about recent developments
and state-of-the-art knowledge in main areas of plasma spectrochemistry. Th
e conference will bring together international participants experienced in
fundamental aspects, instrumentation and applications in typical Norwegian
informal settings to examine recent progress in this continuing growing fie
ld; approximately 120 participants are expected to attend.
<p style="tex
