LOCATION:Christchurch\, New Zealand
DESCRIPTION:The International Conference on Southern Hemisphere Meteorology and Oceanog
raphy series began in the early 1980s and for 40 years has provided a uniqu

s south of the Equator are topics for discussion at ICSHMO meetings: oceans
, ice, weather, climate, advances in science and technology, human interact
ions with the environment, and reflections on the history of our science. T
he ICSHMO conferences bring together a special family of researchers from a
cross the Southern Hemisphere and beyond. \nIn particular we would like to
invite submissions for our session ‘Antarctic sea ice and its climate inter
actions’, which will be of interest to oceanographers and atmospheric scien
