 g>SnowHydro 2022 is now open until October-15th 2021.</strong></div><div st
 yle="text-align: justify;">We solicit abstracts on all aspects of snow hydr
 ology without predefining thematic sessions. A program will be organized in
 to topical blocks based on the received abstracts. SnowHydro 2022 will also
  include poster sessions to encourage focused research discussions and netw
 orking. Abstracts can be submitted via the conference webpage using the <a 
 href="https://snowhydro2022.sciencesconf.org/index/unauthorized" target="_b
 lank" rel="noopener">following link</a> (please create an account via the l
 ogin button). Please note that the adjoint SHF annual meeting with a sessio
 n on permafrost and glaciers will issue a separate call for abstracts later

 <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>SnowHydro 2022</strong> will provid
 e an exceptional opportunity to discuss recent advances in all aspects of s
 now hydrology in a dedicated conference setting, including snow cover proce
 sses, distribution dynamics, model development, data assimilation, operatio
 nal snowmelt forecasting, remote sensing of snow, climate change effects on
  snow water resources, snow vegetation interactions, and ecohydrology. It i
 s the event to meet your international peers and exchange latest ideas in a
  focused and informal setting. Following on from the two previous meetings 
 in 2018 and 2020, SnowHydro 2022 will take place next February in Grenoble,
  France in the foothills of the Alps not far from the famous Mont-Blanc.</p

 le="text-align: justify;">At a glance</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><s
 trong>Format</strong>: in-person meeting if COVID-19 conditions permitting.
  We greatly value networking via informal discussions and the exchange of i
 deas throughout the conference, and will only consider a virtual format if 
 required.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Program</strong>: days
  #1 to #3 will feature dedicated oral and poster sessions related to the ab
 ove topics, with no concurrent sessions. An optional field excursion on day
  #4 will be organized.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Adjoint e
 vent:</strong> the annual meeting of the local glacier-snow-permafrost sect
 ion of the French Hydrotechnics Society (SHF) will be held as part of SnowH
 ydro 2022, with specific permafrost and glacier topics integrated into the 
 program on day #3 (a separate announcement will follow).</p><p style="text-
 align: justify;"><strong>Excursion</strong>: an excursion on day #4 will ta
 ke you to Chamonix and the famous Aiguille du Midi cable car with a fantast
 ic view on Mont-Blanc and its glaciers !</p><p style="text-align: justify;"
 ><strong>Venue</strong>: hosted by the Institut National de Recherche pour 
 l’Agriculture, l’alimentation et l’Environnement (INRAE), the conference wi
 ll take place in the historic building of the institute on Saint-Martin d'H
 ères campus near Grenoble, France.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><stro
 ng>Call for abstracts</strong>: <strong>submission of abstracts opens on Se
 ptember 1st</strong>. The program will be announced and the registration op
 ened on November 1st. This tight timeline is intentional to have a better u
 nderstanding of the COVID-19 conditions at that time to allow adjustments o
 f the meeting format if necessary.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><stro
 ng>Organizers</strong>: SnowHydro 2022 is jointly organized by the Internat
 ional Commission on Snow and Ice Hydrology (ICSIH) of the International Ass
 ociation of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS), and the local research institutes
  in Grenoble involved with snow hydrology, which are the Centre d’Etudes de
  la Neige (CEN), the Institut des Géosciences de l’Environnement (IGE), and
  the Institut National de Recherche pour l’Agriculture, l’alimentation et l
