SUMMARY:IASC's Action Group on Carbon Footprint (AGCF) seeks your input!
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:We need your input on how IASC should mitigate climate change!\nAcknowledgi
ng the link between anthropogenic carbon emissions and rapid changes in the
Arctic, including the Arctic amplification of climate change, IASC has rec
ently convened an Action Group on Carbon Footprint (AGCF). The remit of the
AGCF is to facilitate a full organisational response to the climate crisis
and to explore ways to minimise the carbon footprint of IASC-related activ
ities themselves. As an organisation promoting research and transnational a
ccess in the Arctic, we have a duty to mitigate the impacts of our activiti
es, as well as to lead the way.\nWe wish to take into account the broad per
spectives, needs and requirements of both researchers and wider stakeholder
s in our recommendations. With this in mind, we are holding an event to lau
nch our consultation with the community. To maximise the opportunity for in
put, we will run this community event twice, on\n• 08:00 – 10:00 hrs GMT, W
