DESCRIPTION:Since the Alpine Glaciology Meeting had to be cancelled due to pandemic rea
 sons in 2020, we now joined forces to organise a virtual AGM 2021 by Italy 
 and Germany.\nThe AGM 2021 will be fully virtual, because the situation at 
 the moment does not allow us to plan on a physical gathering, neither South
  nor North of the Alps. Therefore, we would like to invite all interested p
 eople in joining us for two days of scientific exchange on 25 and 26 March 
 2021!\nThe meeting aims on presenting and discussing recent advances in the
  investigation of mountain glaciers in their environment, no matter in whic
 h region of the world. Young scientists and students are encouraged to pres
 ent their work in a very informal and friendly atmosphere. But also the old
 er generation is highly welcome to contribute with their findings to a succ
 essful meeting. We maintain the usual structure of oral sessions, but poste
 rs are also welcome within a special “virtual poster room”. The oral presen
 tations are expected to take 15 Minutes followed by 5 Minutes of questions 
 and discussion. For the posters, a short five-minute presentation is planne
 d with a follow-up discussion.\nAbstract submission is now closed, and we w
 ish to thank everyone who has submitted a contribution; we have a rich prog
 ramme with a lot of very interesting talks! The conference will be held on 
 the Zoom platform. To take part without a contribution, we ask you to regis
 ter online by no later than 22 March on the website (https://sites.unimi.it
 /glaciol/index.php/en/events/agm-2021/) so we can send you the link to part
 icipate.\nWe will soon circulate the final programme and book of abstracts
