  programming, how to foster effective educator-researcher collaborations, a
 nd how they can improve their communication skills for younger audiences. J
 ennifer will share her expertise of collaborations from over 18 years as a 
 public school educator, including research trips to Svalbard and Finland, a
 nd a recent National Geographic funded education project Vamos Explorar: Co
 nserving and Protecting New Mexico's Wild Places. Attendees will leave this
  webinar with next steps they can take to begin meaningful outreach to inte
 rest students in their field and create a path to participation.\nJennifer 
 Chavez-Miller is a full-time Education faculty member in the Alternative Te
 acher Licensure Program at Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquer
 que, New Mexico. Over two decades as an educator, Jennifer has taught eleme
 ntary, middle, and high school students, and served as a curriculum coordin
 ator and an instructional coach at both school and district levels. As a 20

 eaching Fellow to Finland, 2018 National Geographic and Lindblad Expedition
