DESCRIPTION:Arctic Frontiers Emerging Leaders is an Arctic early carrier and mentoring 
 program in the High North of Norway for young scientists and professionals 
 with special interest in Arctic topics. If you are an aspiring Arctic leade
 r under 35 years and want to learn more about Arctic security, Arctic econo
 my and Arctic environment, you are welcome to apply! \nEmerging Leaders inv
 ite 30 selected candidates from different countries to participate in a ble
 nd of technical, social and cultural events accompanied by mentors from bus
 iness, politics and academia. The program takes place in the Norwegian Arct
 ic and starts in the city of Bodø, then continues onboard the coastal cruis
 e M/S Hurtigruten to Lofoten and ends in Tromsø, “the gateway to the Arctic
 ”. \nThe Emerging Leaders will explore topics and adventures that are speci
 fic to the Arctic mindset and engage in crucial and contemporary discussion
 s on environment, resource management, security, the development of busines
 s and technology in the Arctic. \nAt the Arctic Frontiers Policy conference
  in Tromsø, the mentors will challenge the Emerging Leaders to present a pr
 ofessional view on the Arctic. What are the suggestions and solutions to Ar
 ctic opportunities and challenges? How should we best define Arctic sustain
 ability, potentials and vulnerabilities? \nBe prepared to make close friend
 s across a variety of pan-Arctic regions and professions. \nDeadline \nThe 
 call for funding and applications is now open and will be accepted until 1 
 October 2019, if the number of applications secures a satisfactory amount o
 f qualified candidates. \nTo secure sufficient diversity in institutional a
 ffiliation and geography, there will be an initial limit of two participant
