SUMMARY:3rd Canadian Polar Data Workshop

DESCRIPTION:Participants are invited for the Third Canadian Polar Data Workshop (CPDW3)
 , a follow-up to previous Canada wide consultations held in 2015 and 2017. 
 \nThe workshop will be structured to reach specific outcomes through workin
 g group sessions and consensus building on themes such as the need for a na
 tional data management strategy for Canada, data discovery and federated se
 arch, all aspects of data interoperability, and other themes related to pol
 ar data broadly defined, including knowledge transfer and Indigenous data p
 olicies.\nThe workshop will also include a hackathon to advance technical a
 spects of polar data management in Canada. All members of the Canadian pola
 r data and research community are invited to participate. Members of the br
 oader data community are also welcome to attend. Additional details on expa
 nded theme descriptions and registration details will be provided in the co
 ming months.\nThe workshop will be hosted through partnership between the C
 anadian Consortium for Arctic Data Interoperability, Canadian Cryospheric I
 nformation Network/Polar Data Catalogue (CCIN/PDC), Polar Knowledge Canada,
