 esearchers are invited to the APECS Germany workshop about science communic
 ation to be held on September 25, 3-5pm at Bremen University. Panel speaker
 s will offer their insights and experiences, and explain how to effectively
  reach a broader audience and squeeze science communication outreach into o
 ur schedules. The workshop itself is free and is held in cooperation with t
 he ICYMARE 2019 young marine researchers conference (www.icymare.com; Sept.
  24-27). It will be prior to the icebreaker of the annual SPP Antarctic Res
 earch coordination meeting (Sept. 25-27).\n\nICYMARE has kindly offered the
 ir support for the polar early careers and will arrange for polar sessions 
 to be held on Wednesday prior to the APECS workshop and SPP meeting. Abstra
 cts are welcome until July 31 here (https://www.icymare.com/call-for-abstra
 cts/).\nSPP participants can register for a reduced fee of 20 EUR, consider
 ing their absence for the latter part of the ICYMARE conference. Just atten
 ding the APECS Germany Workshop is free.\n\nWe welcome all interested early
  career researchers and are excited to meet you in an “icy” atmosphere!\nTo
