 n\nThe Australian Academy of Science, in association with Software Carpentr
 y, CODATA and RDA, would like to invite you to submit an expression of inte
 rest to participate in the Research Data Science Winter School (http://news
 letter.science.org.au/t/i-l-bjrdhkk-qitkhhidu-y/) at the University of Quee
 nsland in Brisbane, on 12-15 June 2018.\n\nThe Research Data Science Winter
  School’s program is based on the successful International Summer school on
  Research Data Science. It features 2 days of hands-on sessions by Software
  Carpentry, followed by 2 days of tutorial based sessions on Research Data 
 Management, Research Computational Infrastructure and key considerations wh
 en using data for your research.\n\nWho can apply?\nApplication are open to
  EMCRs from different disciplines who already have experience collecting an
 d analysing data, but are looking to take their data skills to the next lev
 el.\nThe theme of the school will be Smart Cities and EMCRs whose research 
 aligns with theme will likely find it most useful. This includes, but is no
 t limited to, researchers working in the following areas:\n\n - urban infor
 matics\n - social sciences\n - demographics\n - environmental sciences\n - 
 health sciences\n - open scienceWe encourage applications from EMCRs workin
 g in and around the above-mentioned disciplines. We particularly encourage 
 expressions of interests from EMCRs who meet any of the following:\n\n - id
 entify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander\n - are based in regional ar
