DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that the University of Exeter will be hosting th
 e 2018 British Branch meeting of the International Glaciological Society on
  Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th September 2018. The conference will include 
 oral and poster presentations, spread over two days, and abstracts are invi
 ted on any aspect of snow and ice research.\n \nRegistration and abstract s
 ubmission is now open, information can be found on the conference webpage:\

 n the 29th June 2018.\nThe main Streatham campus is set within a country es
 tate overlooking the city of Exeter, with the grounds registered as a botan
 ic garden and arboretum, complete with a sculpture trail for the artistical
 ly minded. Set in the county of Devon, which is a “stunning county of great
  contrasts, with two beautiful coastlines, two National Parks and five offi
 cial Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty” (Visit Devon website), there is p
 lenty for the outdoor enthusiast.\nThe conference dinner will take place on
  campus at Reed Hall: “A stunning grade II listed building, a hidden treasu
 re nestled in 300 acres of enchanting landscaped gardens” (Reed Hall websit
 e). The dinner can be booked at the same time as registration on the online
