 aster University, with a conference dinner taking place at Lancaster Brewer

 ne 30th 2017.\nThe conference will include oral and poster presentations, s
 pread over two days, and abstracts are invited on any aspect of snow and ic
 e research. Keynote talks will be given by Dr Robert Mulvaney, British Anta
 rctic Survey, Prof John Smellie, University of Leicester and Prof Jemma Wad
 ham, University of Bristol.\nWe are also offering a free one-day training e
 vent for Early Career Researchers on Tuesday the 5th September, details are
  listed under 'Programme' on the website and there are still places availab
 le.\nLancaster is a historic city located in a beautiful part of the countr
 y and is famous for its history, thriving arts scene and excellent pubs. Th
 e 12th century Lancaster castle, for example, showcases 1,000 years of heri
 tage and justice in the city and was the venue for the famous Pendle Witch 
 trials in the 1600s. For those interested in outdoor pursuits then the York
 shire Dales and Lake District are right on our doorstep and are well served
