SUMMARY:15th International Conference on the Physics and Chemistry of Ice (PCI-2022) - Postponed to September 2023!
LOCATION:Sapporo\, Japan
DESCRIPTION:***Update***\nIn the last summer, we informed you about the following Inter
national Conference on Physics and Chemistry of Ice (PCI-2022).\nHowever, b
ecause now Omicron variant is spreading over the world at an explosive pace
, we cannot judge whether we can hold an onsite conference on Sept. 2022. A
lthough a purely-online conference can be one possible option, I and scient
ific committee members finally determined "one-year postponement" of the co
nference.\nNew date of the conference is as follows.\nDate: From September
4, 2022, to September 8, 2023\nVenue: Hokkaido University, Japan (also plan
ning to accept online participation)\nWe are planning to start the registra
tion and abstract submission from January 2023.\nWe will send the second ci
rcular to you till the end of 2022.\nWe are looking forward to seeing you i
n Sapporo in the summer of 2023.\n***\nWe wish to invite you to the 15th In
ternational Conference on Physics and Chemistry of Ice (PCI-2022). (http://
 www.lowtem.hokudai.ac.jp/ptdice/PCI-2022/index.html)\n \n First circular: <

22 to September 10, 2022\n \n Venue: Hokkaido University, Japan (also plann
ing to accept online participation)\n \n Scientific topics:\n This conferen
ce will cover a wide range of topics related to physical, chemical, biologi
cal, geological, and environmental aspects of ice. The topics will range fr
om fundamental to applied research, and will include laboratory, field, mod
eling, and computational work.\nWe expect to have interdisciplinary discuss
ions of ice. Session topics include:\n      Surfaces and interfaces of ice\
n      Mechanical, dielectric, and optical properties of ice\n      Ice pha

ns on/in ice\n      Ice and snow in the cryosphere\n      Ice in space\n
Clathrate hydrates\n      Others\n \n We will start to accept abstract s
