DESCRIPTION:Organizers of the Gordon Research Seminar in Polar Marine Science 2017 anno
 unce a call for abstract submissions.\nThe seminar will convene 25 March 20
 17 in Ventura, California.\nAbstract submission deadline: 25 December 2016.
 \nThe seminar will mainly focus on innovative marine technology including a
 utonomous and remotely operated instruments, camera systems, advanced labor
 atory techniques, and numerical modeling. Early career scientists will pres
 ent data and discuss how these technological advances improve our physical-
 biological understanding of polar marine ecosystems.\nThe meeting will feat
 ure approximately ten talks and two postersessions. All attendees are expec
 ted to actively participate in the seminar either by giving an oral present
 ation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an a
 bstract. The Chairs will select speakers from abstracts submitted by Decemb
 er 25, 2016. Those applicants\nwho are not chosen for talks and those who a
