ion Project initiated by the World Meteorological Organization’s World Weat
her Research Programme in 2013. The conference aims to review progress, sha
re key findings and success stories, and discuss and shape the legacy of th
e Polar Prediction Project. The summit will bring together polar science ex
perts from operational prediction centres, academia and research institutes
, government, and corporate representatives as well as northern communities
and users of polar prediction services.  \nContributors are invited to sub
mit their abstracts on their research and achievements produced in the fram
e of PPP and YOPP, on the below topics: \n\n - Advancements in polar predic
tion during YOPP (2017–2019) and their operationalization;\n - Building int
ernational cooperation amongst the polar prediction community;\n - Paving t
he way for the legacy of the Polar Prediction Project, to enable environmen
tal safety in the Arctic and Antarctic in the future;\n - Representation of
polar processes in numerical models, with a focus on coupling of the atmos
phere, ocean and sea ice;\n - Ocean and sea ice modelling and services;\n -
The MOSAiC expedition and other polar observation campaigns;\n - Supersite
multi-variate observations and process studies (YOPPsiteMIP);\n - Observin
g System Experiments (OSE) and reanalyses in polar regions;\n - Teleconnect
ions linking polar weather to mid-latitudes predictability;\n - Science to
services: tailoring polar forecasting products and services to meet user ne
