SUMMARY:New Mathematics on Ice forum
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:We are planning a series of virtual ‘Mathematics on Ice’ fora - the first o
ne on 15 February.  These are intended as an informal community meeting for
those interested in more theoretical (but hopefully useful!) approaches to
understanding ice dynamics.  There will be a couple of short talks and opp
ortunity for breakout discussion, as well as meeting new people.  The first
  meeting will be on 15 February:15th February 2021, (4pm GMT)\nAlex Robel (
GeorgiaTech) on "Grounding lines transition to instability at sharp peaks t
hrough a crossing-sliding bifurcation"Kasia Warburton (Cambridge) on "Tides
