2009 IPY Field School VideoThe first IPY field school, hosted in collaboration between the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS), IPY Norway, the University of the Arctic (UArctic) and the University centre in Svalbard (UNIS), was held between 15th June and 3rd July 2009 in Svalbard. Twenty four talented undergraduate and masters students from 11 nations were selected from nearly 300 applicants to take part in this interdisciplinary polar experience in the high arctic.
