If you check YES, this automatically indicates you as eligible for the awards as well as indicating to the conveners that you are early career. You can self-decide if you are early career for this box, so even if you are a bit outside the eligibility requirements for the stipend and travel fellowships, you can still indicate you are early career if you feel it is appropriate.
