The Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland seeks a senior impact assessment expert for a project entitled "Strategic Environmental Impact
Assessment of Development of the Arctic." The position will be based in Rovaniemi, Finland.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the leading, implementation, coordination, and quality assurance of Work Package 2:
Impact Assessment Process, which aims to assess the impacts of development in the Arctic and of EU policies affecting the arctic region
on the political, economic, and environmental landscapes.
Applicants must have a Master's or PhD in economy or regional planning, social or environmental studies, or a related field. A minimum of 5
years of senior level impact assessment, management, policy-analysis or related experience is required, as is 3 years experience relevant to
assessment of regional, social, or environmental and political development trends in the arctic region.
