So you are interested in the Council - How can you be involved?
Whatever your interest, there's a place for you! The Council has several project groups that its members can get active in. And of course if you have ideas for a new project groups let us know! We also have Council members that are representing APECS National Committees or one of our early career partner organisations (eg. PYRN).How does our Council work? Council members meet every two months for online meetings that last about an hour to exchange and discuss ideas and new projects. In between these meetings, the project groups work on their specific projects online and might have extra calls for those.
All of our Council members serve terms from October of one year through the following September, but you can join anytime you like and remain on the Council for as long as you feel that you can be actively involved! If you feel that being involved on the APECS Council will conflict with your research, don't worry! We're all early career scientists and know how important field work and intense writing periods can be! So if you need a time(s) of absence we completely understand. We only ask you to let the Council chair know in advance about it.
